Senior Island Champsionships 2021 & Sarnia Junior Open

Sunday 13th June 2021 saw the return of the Guernsey Senior Island Championships following a year off due to COVID-19.
The event has been designated a ranking event for the Commonwealth Games, and the competition was well attended across all categories

Men's Foil:
1st Place - Alex Doherty
2nd place - Luke Milner
3rd Place - Neil Marais & Jamie de Carteret

Women's Foil:
1st Place - Rosie Milner
2nd Place - Julie Dyer
3rd Place - Lauren Hallett & Fiona Bougourd

Novice Foil:
1st Place - Preston Wu
2nd Place - Fiona Bougourd

Men's Epee:
1st Place - Paul Gregory
2nd Place - William Montgomery
3rd Place - James Le Maitre & Alex Doherty

Women's Epee:
1st Place - Georgie Lindsay
2nd Place - Wendy Batiste
3rd Place - Elina Steinerte & Fiona Fitton

Men's Sabre:
1st Place - Alex Doherty
2nd Place - James Le Maitre
3rd Place - Alex Varley & Tal Salter

Women's Sabre:
1st Place - Lauren Hallett

The Men's and Women's Master at Arms trophies were won by Alex Doherty and Lauren Hallett respectively.

The Sarnia Junior Open was run for younger fencers alongside the senior competition. For some fencers this was their first competition, so congratulations to all who took part. Results were as follows:
