Epee League 03/12/2020
The third epee league of the season saw eleven fencers take to the piste.
Poule one was won by Paul with a clean sweep of victories. Blake and Wendy will be moving down to poule two. Adam, Luke and Jamie's positions were established on indicators and three victories apiece. Jamie vs Luke finished 10:4 in Jamie's favour and Adam fought Wendy to a 10:0 win that proved decisive indicator wise and placed Adam second on the night, followed by Jamie and then Luke. The second epee league of the season took plce on bonfire night and had a great turnout, with 11 fencers taking part.
In poule one Luke had an exciting fight with Eli, who took the lead 7:3. Luke fought back to win 10:9, and subsequently placed first in the poule followed by Adam (2nd), Kalum (3rd), Blake (4th), Wendy (5th) and Eli (6th).
Paul finished top of poule two followed by Jamie in second place. The fight between these two was close, with the score 3:3 after the first period, but Paul dominated in the second period to win the fight 10:3. Meyrick and Tavis took ...

Epee League Report
01 October 2020 saw the start of the 2020/2021 epee league. It was a league that saw returning fencers joined by new competitors, with some absences due to injury.
In poule one the contest between Adam and Kalum saw Adam secure the final hit after clawing his way back with a succession of doubles to win the fight 10:9. There was a similarly close fight between Eli and Wendy, with Eli winning the fight 10:9.
Poule two saw Blake finish in first place after a close match with Luke, and Fiona overcame Dan in a thrilling bout which finished 10:9.
